Haroldo Jacobovicz: A Trailblazer in the World of Technology

Haroldo Jacobovicz is a name synonymous with innovation and
success in the field of technology. With a background in civil engineering and
a keen eye for identifying opportunities,  Haroldo Jacobovicz has built a remar kable
career that spans several decades. 

After completing his engineering degree at the Federal
University of Paraná, Jacobovicz realized that his true passion lay in the
field of information technology. In 1990, he founded Microsystem, a company
that aimed to automate inventory and cash control systems for small businesses.
Although the v enture was short-lived, it ignited Jacobovicz’s entrepreneurial

enterprises, Jacobovicz joined Exxon Mobil Corporation  as an analyst in the
market research department. His work involved analyzing and processing data
using computers, which was still a relatively new concept at the time. However,
the challenging market conditions, coupled with the distance from his family,
led Jacobovicz to reevaluate his career path. 

Opportunity came knocking when he joined Itaipu, the famous
hydroelectric power plant, as an advisor to the Technical Director. This
experience  exposed Jacobovicz to the intricacies of technology implementation
in the public sector, further fueling his desire to make a difference. 

In 1990, Jacobovicz founded Minauro, a company specializing
in computer leasing and maintenance services for government agencies. The
unique business model, which offered long-term contracts and regular hardware
upgrades, was a resounding success. Jacobovicz’s vision expanded when Mina uro
acquired several software companies, forming the e-Governe Group. Today, the
group is renowned for providing cutting-edge solutions to the public sector,
enhancing efficiency and productivity in various municipalities across Brazil. 

Never one to rest on his laurels, Jacobovicz ventured into
the corporate market with the establishment of Horizons Telecom in 2010. The
company quickly gained recognition as a leading provider of telecommunications
services, attracting the attention of major investors. In 2021, Horizons
Telecom  was acquired, marking yet another milestone in Jacobovicz’s career. 

Unwavering in his drive to improve lives through technology,
Jacobovicz recently founded Arlequim Technologies. This startup aims to
revolutionize the digital experience by optimizing the performance of outdated
computers, both for individuals and businesses. With Arlequim’s services , users
can transform their devices into high-performing machines without the need to
invest in new hardware.
